| ffifinish_cleaning | Upholstery custom finish cleaning tips- The silver ion technology in our FairfieldShield+ finish topcoat means that it deters the growth of bacteria. Clorox wipes can be use cleaned areas clean and remove soiled areas on the finish surface, using the wipe on, wipe off method. First, wipe on the surface with a Clorox wipe. Then immediately wipe off with a damp cloth. Agents with less than 5% ammonium chloride and agens with sodium chloride or sodium chlorite may be used to clean the finish surface. After cleaning the finish surface with one of these three agents, we strongly suggest that the finish surface be cleaned with warm, clear water and dried with a soft cloth. Casegood finish cleaning tips- household polishes that are wax free and silicone free are recommended (we recommend Guardsman Furniture Polish). Anything outside of recommended household polishes or a mild soap solution and then drying the surface with a soft cotton cloth may damage the finish. Always wipe in the direction of the wood grain. |

Wood, like all natural materials, has inherent disparities in color and grain pattern. There will be variation in color, texture and shading. Variation will occur when a finish is used on a different wood species and can change the overall look of the finish. We strive to provide an accurate representation of all finishes on our website, but due to changes in lighting, types of monitors, and photography limitations, color variation is possible. To preserve this character, we offer Fairfshield+ as a standard application on all upholstery finishes. This clear, protective topcoat varnish forms a chemically cross-linked barrier that is more resistent to wear and more impervious to moisure and commercial cleaning materials. Fairshield+ is also formulated with UV inhibitors to reduce the harmful effects of sunlight and features silver ion technology (an antimicrobial agent) to help preserve the finish and protect against mold, mildew, fungus, and odor-causing bacteria. Our Custom finished casegoods and Custom Paint Match are finihsed are sealed with Sherwin-William's Sher-Wood® Kemvar® Plus Conversion Varnish. This varnish is high-solids catalyzed wood finishing system with full hiding opaque colors. It offers superior quality for furniture, cabinets and other interior wood products. Benefits include- non-yellowing properties, excellent toughness and mar-resistance, moisture resistance, and resistant to household chemicals. With proper maintenance and cleaning, it is suitable for contract use. |
